The Local Lumpkin

Our Story:

Once upon a time a loving Papa told his two sweet little daughters many magical tales about tiny forest creatures called Lumpkins. They were miniature beings living peacefully in cozy gourd houses as part of a woodland community with breathtaking wild flowers and their fairy and animal neighbors.

The girl’s Papa never revealed to them exactly what a Lumpkin looked like. After he died it was up to the little girls to tell the stories to others. The oldest daughter told the stories to her mama and described what she imagined Lumpkins to be. In turn, her mama began a tiny business called Lumpkin inspired by these treasured family stories. Lumpkin takes great care in creating heirloom quality toys, clothing and accessories that children will love. Also in keeping with the original stories, all Lumpkin products are handmade using natural materials just as the Lumpkins do themselves.
